A scientific conference under the title "the advanced surgery of nasal and nasal sinus" at Sohag University

 The ENT department prepared a scientific conference under the title "the advanced surgery of nasal and nasal sinus".

The conference was at the premises of the department at the university.

Professor Doctor Hosam el-Basraty, a professor at pediatrics department will gave the lecture.

Doctors from the ENT department at the university, Doctors from the educational hospital, Doctors from the general hospital of Sohag and some Doctors from Elhelal Hospital at Sohag governorate attended the conference.

The conference included different fields such as:

The scientific day at faculty of medicine

 Under the patronage of Professor Doctor Nabil Nour eldeen, acting the head of the university, Professor Doctor Lofty Hammed Abu el-Dahb, a vice president of the university for the researches and the post graduate studies affairs, Professor Doctor Samy Osaman, a dean of faculty of medicine, Professor Doctor Mohamed Tharwat, a head of the radiology department and Professor Doctor Mohamed Abd el-Kadeer, a head of the ENT department,ENT department in cooperation with radiology department held a scientific day under the title "head and neck".

Doctors from the general hospital, Doctors from Elhelal hospital and Doctors from the university hospital attended the day.

The scientific day of the vertigo at ENT department

 ENT department organizes the scientificl day of vertigo and this will be at the quality hall on Saturday dated 18/2/2012 and this also will be under the patronage Professor Doctor Mohamed Abd el-Kader, the head of the ENT department at faculty of medicine.

The annual conference of the internal department of the cardiac diseases

The internal department at the university hospital prepares the annual conference of the cardiac diseases and this will be during next March, for discussing the cardiac diseases and their causes.

On the other hand, a number of the professors of the Egyptian Universities and the members of the Egyptian assembly of the cardio diseases.

Worthy mentioning is that all of this will be under the supervision of Professor Doctor Hassan Ahmed Hussein, the head of the internal department and Professor Doctor Ali Taha,the manger of the university hospitals.

The annual conference of faculty of medicine at Sohag and Hurgada will be next April

 Under the supervision of Professor Doctor Ali Abd el-Rahman, head of the department of tumors cure and nuclear medicine and head of the conference, faculty of medicine will hold the annual conference that will last for four days two of them which are Monday dated23/4/2012 and Tuesday dated 24/4/2012 will be in Sohag and the other two days which are Wednesday dated 25/4/2012 and Thursday dated 26/4/2012 will be in Hurgada.  

The mandate of two doctors from health directorate of the university hospital through a protocol between the health directorate and the university.

  Under the patronage of Doctors syndicate, a training cooperation protocol has been assigned between health directorate and the university.

Through this protocol two doctors will be mandated from health directorate of the university hospital for 3 months, for raising the educational level of the doctors of the health ministry.

There is a protocol also between plastic surgery department and burns department at the university hospital for operating the unity of burns diseases at central hospital of Akhmim.

Faculty of medicine organizes an honoring ceremony for the brilliant students of the faculty on Thursday 19/1/2012 at 11 AM in the great hall of the conferences at the university.

The resolutions of faculty of medicine's council, session number (218)

The faculty council approved on many resolutions:

1-Resolution number (8030) which is, choosing Doctor Ahmed Fathy Hamed, a lecturer at the public health department, as a vice manger of quality assurance unity in stead of Doctor Ahmed Ibrahim el Dosoky.

2-Resolution number (8019) which is, choosing Doctor Nagwa Sayed Ahmed, acting the head of the bio chemistry department, as a member of the students and education affairs committee of the first university stage project instead of Doctor Eman Essayed Abo Deef.

3-Resolution number (8018) which is, choosing Doctor Mervt Ahmed Atya, assistant professor at public internal medicine department, as a member of curricula committee of the students of  the first university stage project in stead of Eman Elsayed Abo Deef.

4-Resolution number (8026), which has been approved to assign 14/1/2012, as a day for honoring the brilliant students.

5-Resolution number (8017) which is, choosing Doctor Badeer Ali eldeen, a professor of urology surgery at the kidney and urology center at Mansoura University, as a reviser for classifying the programs and curricula of the students of the first university stage.

Faculty of medicine got advanced positions in the sportive activities at the university

Faculty of medicine got the second position in basket ball in the championship of the university, as it was the final match between it and faculty of commerce.

It was Captain Nasr Lotfy and Captain Mohamed Kamal, a sportive specialist at faculty of medicine who arbitrated the match.

Moreover Doctor Ahmed Fathy, a lecturer at faculty of medicine and a public coordinator of the university activities at the faculty handed over the prizes.

The faculty also got the second position in handball in the final match between it and faculty of commerce.

It was Captain Mohamed Ali who arbitrated the match and Captain Ayman Abd el- Galeel handed over the prizes.

Finally the faculty got the third position in football championship of the university, as it competed with faculty of science.

Captain Yasser Taha Salah,a manger of the sportive activity at faculty of medicine , arbitrated the match.

1 – The beginning of the first round examinations for the undergraduate students of the Faculty of Medicine, on Saturday 11/6/2011.
2 – Finishing the graduate exams (Diploma - Master - Doctorate) the round of April 2011 on Wednesday, 06/02/2011.
3 – In the presence of Dr.  Fahim Bassiouny ,Professor of laparoscopic surgery at the University of Cairo, a workshop of Endoscopic Surgery, was held at the  Department of General Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, University of Sohag.
4 – Finishing the workshop of organizing programs and courses according to the credit hours system.
5 – Finishing the process of holding   monthly meetings for all committees of the faculty and sending their decisions to be signed by higher Councils.
6 - Dr. Ahlam Nabih Abdel-Salam was chosen as a Chairman of the Committee of internal revision.
7 - Dr. / Abdul Basit Abdu Badawi, was chosen as an executive director of the Unit of  Developing the Systems of student assessment and examinations.
8 - Dr. / Ahmed Ibrahim Dessouky was chosen as Deputy Director of Quality Assurance Unit in the faculty
